How Cole Saxton Became a Bigfoot Investigator: In His Own Words
Cole Saxton:
I guess I should start my story in 1968. January of that year I was born to Dale and Marsha Saxton in Kalispell Montana. Mom and Dad lived there along with my four sisters and one brother. When I was 5 years old my Uncle Don and Dad started building roads in Alaska and we moved to Anchorage. Then uncle Don was killed in a bulldozer accident and dad left Alaska for Oregon and started his business called Timber Roads Co. We moved to a town called Myrtle Point.
I remember the day Dad found the line of tracks on Wilder Creek road. From then on it seems Dad was bigfoot bound. Dad was a quiet man with a great sense of humor. He was the type of Dad that never raised his voice at us kids. He would simply look at us and say nothing which was quite effective. He was mom's best friend along with her soul mate. At the age of twelve Dad started taking me out on jobs with him. He taught me how to run his D8 cat and how to blade a road with a 12E grader.
My brother Axle and I went everywhere with Dad. Mom was busy with the girls in the family. Then one day for reasons unknown to me Dad decided that someone should start looking into the reports of these strange creatures they called bigfoot. He had asked around and found that very few people were interested in looking for them at that time. So he started getting some old reports from people that had heard about him through word of mouth.
Then 1985 rolled around and Dad met this tree faller on a job in the Galice Ranger District. That logger was Bill Emery. Bill and Dad struck up an immediate friendship. Soon Bill was on the bigfoot roller coaster with Dad. Why I say roller coaster is because of all the laughter and rumors circulating about Dad looking for the hairy monster. Bill quickly became a new found "uncle" to me. He seemed to think like Dad did and could care less what people said about the two of them. After high school was over, I decided to help with the search. Between college and bigfoot I stayed busy. Will continue later.
PART 2
Well finally I finish college and began working for Dad as a contract bidder for his road jobs. Soon after Dad and Bill started expanding their search area out. It was about that time in my life where I wanted to help more with the field part of searching. At first Dad was hesitant to have me out in the field because I had two young babies at home. My wife and I were blessed with twins. Also my wife was fearful of the stories she had read about the Ape Canyon Incident.
Another year came and Dad finally accepted.the fact that I was now full grown and ne my own. So he let me investigate some of the reports. By this time we were getting reports from all over the coast and inland.
Then the day came when Dad went into the hospital for exploratory surgery. We knew Dad was sick but had no idea how sick. He wrote a note to Bill before they took him into the operating room. As you all know Dad died on the table. Bill has never told me what was in that note but I think Dad was asking Bill to keep looking for bigfoot and don't look back!
Since then I have been with Bill and Hank side by side. They are very close to my family and "Uncle Bill" is always there for me. Thanks for your interest in our stories.

Cole ads these corrections to the timeline of Bigfoot Premise: It was 1985 that Dad and Bill met and 1986 when Hank found those tracks.
