We are very happy campers today. This morning the Sru Lake Bigfoot walked within 25 to 30 feet of Hank and Bill. Hank said they could hear it coming with a low, long grunt sound accompanied by a kind of cough. Bill was near the south end of the stump when the bigfoot walked around a tree and grabbed a salt lick placed there by Bill. Hank was about 50 feet from Bill under a fern patch.
We had found fresh tracks yesterday evening. Bill was tempted to take a very close picture of the animal walking toward him but didn't because of the threat of attack.
We will leave this area today and turn over everything to DS [OSP analyst] and then make sure we have all of our Ts crossed. The chain of command here will be very tight and documented in every possible way.
We will not release any photos of this creature till everything can be completely secured. Bill will make it impossible for anyone to profit off these photos. I wish my dad would have been able to be here.
